Curbside Appeal (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Curbside Appeal Companion App and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following information when you use our website, app, and services:
- Name, company name, email address, phone number, and property address
- Account login information
- Property details, service schedule details, trash day, and service notes
- Photos uploaded or captured in the app for proof of service
- Chat messages and attachments sent through the app
- Location-related data you provide or approve, including geolocated property addresses and current location for route and service use
- Billing-related information such as Stripe customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, and billing status
- Notification device tokens used to send push notifications
- Basic technical and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage customer, employee, and admin accounts
- Schedule, manage, and verify trash-to-curb services
- Display property history, service photos, billing details, and chat activity
- Send important account, route, billing, and service notifications
- Support customer onboarding, property additions, and account management
- Improve app reliability, security, and customer support
Photos, Camera, and Location
The app may request access to your camera to capture service-related photos. The app may also request access to location services to support address confirmation, route planning, current-location features, and service verification. These permissions are only used for app functionality and service operations.
Billing and Payments
Payments and subscription billing are processed through third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not store full payment card details in the app database. We may store billing-related identifiers, subscription references, and limited billing records necessary to manage service and account access.
Chat and Communications
If you use in-app chat features, we store messages and any related attachments to support communication between customers, employees, and administrators.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers that help us operate the app and business, including services for hosting, authentication, notifications, mapping, storage, and payment processing.
Data Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some operational records, photos, chats, route snapshots, and related files may be automatically deleted after defined retention periods.
Account Deletion
Customers can request deletion of their app account through the app settings. Deleting an account removes app access and associated in-app customer data, subject to any records we must retain for legal, security, billing, or operational purposes.
Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Choices
You may choose whether to grant permissions such as camera, notifications, and location. You may also contact us regarding updates to your account information or questions about your data.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a revised effective date.
